  We're pretty regular here. When we don't feel like driving to Gresham, this is our local go-to place for Mexican. When we need to eat on the cheap side, this is also our local go-to place. :)
  
  Big fans of the enchilada suiza. With rice and beans, you can get one for 5.50. Two for 7.00. Also really like the chili rellenos--some of the best we've had.
  
  Sure, it's small town, sure it's kind of a forehead slapper with the bad jokes, but this guy is just a hard worker who's trying to make a living selling good food. He's friendly and accommodating.

  On Sunday, my family of six sat down and were offered the complimentary chips and salsa. It was very spicy and typically, our daughters ask for a mild version because any spice is too much for them. The older gentleman who was helping us made me feel uncomfortable with his response but I ignored my instinct to go. I started to smell something rancid and my husband thought it might have been the salsa. As we were sitting next to the restrooms I thought it might have been the toilet. We attempted to order food, but having not been provided with a childrens menu even after asking we found it difficult. We didn't understand what the children could order and when we asked for clarification (do you offer this or could you do this?) It was met with irritation on the mans part. About 2 minutes after we had submitted our food order, I started to have a panic attack. It was brought on by the mans demeanor and the smell and I knew we had to leave. My husband went to explain that we were having an emergency and needed to leave, but wanted to "square up". We wanted to pay for our food that we had eaten and any that they had prepared. Instead, we were charged for all of our food, but not even at the price listed on the menu. It was almost $10 more than what they had written on their menu. When we asked them to provide a receipt, a print out of the charges and even at one point to reverse the charges they said they would not. When we asked for the food that we had paid for, they also denied us saying that they had thrown it out. We tried to be reasonable asking what their policy is when someone doesnt like the food, I was told by the women that we get what they serve us and we dont complain. This may have been in his right to charge us for everything (even though they did not have enough time to prepare all six meals) it is not common practice in the restaurant industry. It also demonstrates a lack of empathy, and borders on being unethical. The husband and wife team who was working Sunday night (we assume were the owners) took advantage of our honesty. We could of been crooks and walked out, but we wanted to make things right. Instead they were dishonest, selfish and unempathetic.
  
  This review has been edited from my first post to accurately reflect our experience at this restaurant. While cathartic at the time, my first review was written in extreme anger. I recognize that in order to be of any benefit or value reviews need to be presented thoughtfully and honestly and without emotion. Writing negative reviews is something I take seriously because I understand how painful it can be on both ends. The issue becomes even more complicated when you are doing the right thing and your punished for it because the other person isn't honest. This business establishment is not worth your time or money. You have choices when it comes to where you eat. Choose somewhere you're valued and the food is at least edible. This restaurant isn't it.

  My husband, grandson and I were driving through Sandy, our grandson saw the restaurant and remembered it later when we needed lunch. We liked menu items that were not the usual fare. The salsa was chunky and spicy. Chips, homemade and fresh. I ordered the Cuban Black Beans soup and the fish tacos that I planned to share. Our grandson ordered chicken enchiladas and my husband ordered the Two Brothers enchiladas. We all really liked our choices. The bean soup was so good, hearty with a depth of flavors that would be wonderful on a cold winter day. The fish tacos were simple and perfect. The fish and been cooked in  a light sauce, not fried or any goop on it. Just flaky white fish, some slaw and corn tortillas. There were 3 so we each had one.
  Our waiter was funny and attentive. WE will go back.

  I was craving Mexican.  Our favorite Mexican food cart was closed on Sundays. So.... my choices in Sandy, OR were limited.  All I have to say is save your money for some better Mexican food.  I am sure the Owners are nice.  I expected the food to be mediocre, so already didn't have high hopes, but it was worse than expected.  
  Salsa was watery...I wouldn't call it salsa.
  Chips had as weird taste.
  Fish tacos - worse tacos I have ever had.  I have had a lot of fish tacos.  
  Shrimp Enchiladas - nothing special.  
  Tacos - nothing special.  
  Rice and Beans - probably the best part, sadly with a $30 bill it just wasn't worth it.  
  
  If you do go here, stick to the basic burritos.  Burritos just wasn't part of my cravings.

  Writing negative reviews is painful especially when you want to and have to the best of your ability worked to find an amicable solution to the problem. The issue becomes even more complicated when you are doing the right thing ans your punished for it because the other person is unethical. This business establishment is not worth your time or money. They repeatedly demonstrate that they care more about the money then they do about you as the consumer. The owner and his wife are the type of people to spit in your food. As was told to me by the wife, you take what you're given and you eat it. You have choices when it comes to where you eat. Choose somewhere you're valued and the food is at least edible. This restaurant isn't it.
